The Exe Estuary and Somerset Levels

21st to 24th January

Join GREENSPACES on this winter mini break in the south west.

Many species spend their winter in this quiet, mild area of Britain with the Exe Estuary acting like a magnet. Many species of Ducks, Waders and a host of other birds congregate here in big numbers. We will take a cruise on the Estuary to view the activity at close quarters as well as visiting all the local sites. A day away from the area will take us up to the Somerset Levels to witness the reedbeds and their residents with the sight of 1,000,000+ starlings coming into roost taking our breath away. We will also look for Cirl Buntings only resident in this part of the UK. Our accommodation is at the centrally located Exeter Court Hotel with transport around the sites in a comfortable People Carrier .
